It appears that Kristaps Porziņģis is set to miss another game Monday night against the the Los Angeles Clippers.
On Feb. 19, Porziņģis made his highly anticipated debut with the Golden State Warriors when they took on the Boston Celtics. Porziņģis only played 17 minutes that game and posted 12 points.
However, the Latvian big man hasn’t returned to the floor since that game. Apparently, it’s due to an illness that has yet to be identified.
Kristaps Porziņģis Remains Out Indefinitely
The NBA world recently shared its thoughts on Porziņģis’ situation and how weird it is for him to mysteriously disappear after playing only one game with Golden State.
According to the most recent injury report, Porziņģis won’t be available for the Warriors’ game against the Clippers on Monday. This would be his fifth consecutive absence since his debut.
Sources reported that Porziņģis is out due to a general illness. As of this writing, the exact nature of the malady remains a blur as doctors try to determine the true nature of his condition.
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr reportedly mentioned that Porziņģis’ illness is “a little mysterious” and would like to get more clarity on his current condition.
The NBA world also went on social media to express its thoughts on the bizarre situation.
Nick Friedell reported: “Porzingis is not at Warriors shootaround. He remains out tonight vs. Clippers because of an illness. This is the fifth straight game he will miss.”

Danny Emerman reported: “Not much more clarity on Kristaps Porzingis’ illness that has knocked him out of 5 games. ‘It’s a little mysterious,’ Steve Kerr said. Warriors working with KP and hoping he can get more clarity, make a breakthrough. Unclear if he’ll be with the team on upcoming road trip.”

Back in October, Porziņģis was diagnosed with POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome), forcing him to sit out the majority of the 2025-26 season to date. According to sources, while nothing has been confirmed yet, there’s a slight possibility that his history with POTS could factor in the mysterious illness he’s currently afflicted with.
