BREAKING: NBA World Reacts To San Antonio Spurs Signing 13-Year Veteran

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, the San Antonio Spurs are signing a new player.

Mason Plumlee has appeared in 14 games for the Charlotte Hornets this season.

He is currently averaging 1.9 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists per contest while shooting 75.0% from the field in 14 games.

Following a trade, Plumlee was waived (and became a free agent).

On Tuesday, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported the news that the San Antonio Spurs will sign Plumlee.

Via Charania: “Free agent center Mason Plumlee is signing a 10-day contract with the San Antonio Spurs, Mark Bartelstein of @PrioritySports tells ESPN. Plumlee started his 13th NBA season in Charlotte and now joins the Spurs for the second half.”

Plumlee was the 22nd pick in the 2013 NBA Draft out of Duke.

He has spent 13 seasons with the Brooklyn Nets, Denver Nuggets, Charlotte Hornets, Portland Trail Blazers, Phoenix Suns, LA Clippers and Detroit Pistons.

His career averages are 7.9 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists per contest while shooting 59.6% from the field in 874 games.

The Spurs are the second seed in the Western Conference with a 38-16 record in 54 games.

They are in the middle of a six-game winning streak (and have won eight out of ten).

Following the All-Star break, the Spurs will resume action on Thursday when they host the Suns in Texas.

The Spurs last made the NBA playoffs during the 2019 season.
