The Super Bowl is one of the greatest sporting events of the entire calendar. With the two best teams in a parity-driven league that generates fan interest like the NFL going at it, people tune in by the millions to catch all the action. As a result, there is a ton of extravagance that goes into the Big Game to make it a treat for everyone involved.
Perhaps the biggest distinction in that category is the Halftime Show. Every year, one of the top artists from across the world is chosen to showcase their talent, with Bad Bunny getting the honor this time around. However, his selection this season was highly controversial, and it was even brought up in front of Devin Booker at the All-Star game.

With racial undertones, a ton of criticism was levied at the choice made for this year’s Super Bowl. However, the event turned out to be a rousing success, with 128.2 million viewers and a message that resonated with everyone.
Still, the detractors continued to poke holes in the event, making it a legitimate conversation across the sporting world. The All-Star break wasn’t safe, with stars being asked about the performance across the board.
However, the situation turned rather awkward when the question came at the doorstep of the Phoenix Suns superstar. Averaging 25.2 points and 6.3 assists, he has been the leading scorer as the team has maintained its spot in the thick of the playoff race.
But at the media availability session, he was asked about the performance Bunny put forward. For those in the dark, Bunny is currently dating supermodel Kendal Jenner, who had a public flirtation and eventually entered into a relationship with Booker herself.
As a result, Booker immediately turned uncomfortable when asked about the performance. Instead, he responded with, “I didn’t watch it to be completely honest.” With the shared history between the two men, it was hard to argue with the sentiments from the superstar shooting guard.

At the All-Star weekend, though, he was a busy man, competing in the 3-point contest before suiting up for the USA Stars roster. Finishing second behind the returning Damian Lillard in the former, he was a key cog in the machine as his squad won the new format of the All-Star game.
Scoring two points in their lone loss, he added five points apiece in the other two games to ensure that the Stars’ roster wasn’t outclassed by the veteran-led Stripes squad in the All-Star championship.
