3-Point Contest
Some of the NBA’s top sharpshooters took turns attempting to hit as many 3-point shots as possible.
Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns, Kon Knueppel of the Charlotte Hornets, Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers, Tyrese Maxey of the Philadelphia 76ers, Donovan Mitchell of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Jamal Murray of the Denver Nuggets, Bobby Portis Jr. of the Milwaukee Bucks, and Norman Powell of the Miami Heat competed for the chance to join other legendary 3-Point Contest winners such as Larry Bird and Craig Hodges.
In the end, Lillard, who stepped onto an NBA court for the first time this season, won the championship with a lights-out performance from 3-point range. It was Lillard’s third 3-Point Contest title, tying him with Bird and Hodges for the most in NBA All-Star Saturday history.

Four teams of three shooters — two current NBA players and one NBA legend — faced off at the Intuit Dome
Team All-Star featured the Toronto Raptors’ Scottie Barnes, the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Chet Holmgren, and NBA legend Richard Hamilton. Team Cameron included the Atlanta Hawks’ Jalen Johnson, Knueppel, and NBA legend Corey Maggette.
Team Harper had the San Antonio Spurs’ Dylan Harper, the Boston Celtics’ Ron Harper Jr., and NBA legend Ron Harper. Team Knicks consisted of the New York Knicks‘ Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns, along with NBA legend Allan Houston.

Slam Dunk Contest
Four young NBA stars sought to add their names to the historic list of Slam Dunk Contest winners, including Michael Jordan and Dominique Wilkins. Wilkins was at the Intuit Dome as one of the judges.
Carter Bryant of the San Antonio Spurs, Jaxson Hayes of the Los Angeles Lakers, Keshad Johnson of the Miami Heat, and Jase Richardson of the Orlando Magic were taking to the court. Hayes’ initial dunk got a lot of heat online and from the fans in attendance at the Intuit Dome.

In the final round, Johnson and Bryant battled for the title. Both earned perfect 50 scores from the judges on their first dunks.
Johnson opened both rounds, delivering a windmill jam after taking off from three-quarters down the court. His final dunk came from just inside the free-throw line, which he finished with authority.

Bryant needed a strong dunk to surpass Johnson but came up short on his first two attempts. With less than 50 seconds remaining, he failed again on a third try. Encouraged by NBA legend and analyst Vince Carter, Bryant attempted a fourth dunk but did not succeed.
He eventually completed a 360 slam with fewer than 10 seconds left, falling short of Johnson’s score, leading the judges to award the championship to the Heat player.
And that concluded NBA All-Star Saturday, setting the stage for the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday.
