Draymond Green reacted to the news of Chris Paul retiring.

Chris Paul spent one season with the Golden State Warriors (2023-24).

While the team missed the NBA playoffs, Paul got the chance to play next to future Hall of Famers Steph Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson.

He had averages of 9.2 points, 3.9 rebounds and 6.8 assists per contest while shooting 44.1% from the field in 58 games that season.

This month, Paul was traded (via the LA Clippers) to the Toronto Raptors.

However, the Raptors waived Paul (which led to him retiring).

Via Bleacher Report: “The Raptors have waived Chris Paul after acquiring him at the trade deadline, the team announced”

One person who left a comment on Paul’s Instagram post was Green.

His message had over 900 likes in 11 hours.

Green wrote: “Salute my brother! What a RUN! Enjoy the fruits Legend!”

Paul was the fourth pick in the 2005 NBA Draft out of Wake Forest.

He also had stints with the New Orleans Hornets, Houston Rockets, Oklahoma City Thunder, Phoenix Suns and San Antonio Spurs (in addition to the Clippers and Warriors).

His career averages were 16.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, 9.2 assists and 2.0 steals per contest while shooting 46.9% from the field and 37.0% from three-point range in 1,370 games.

Paul will be remembered as one of the best five points guards of all time.

While he was unable to win a title, the NBA legend made the 2021 Finals and appeared in 149 playoff games.

As for Green, he is in the middle of his 14th NBA season (all with Golden State).

The 2017 Defensive Player of The Year is averaging 8.6 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.2 assists per contest while shooting 41.7% from the field and 32.7% from three-point range in 46 games.

Right now, the Warriors are the eighth seed in the Western Conference with a 29-26 record in 55 games.

They are coming off a season where they lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round of the 2025 NBA playoffs.
