It has been a few weeks since Giannis Antetokounmpo last appeared on the hardwood. Antetokounmpo is currently sidelined with an injury and has no clear timeline for his return.
While fans are concerned about another extended absence for the Greek Freak, the Milwaukee Bucks’ general manager has provided an important update regarding his recovery.

Bucks GM Provides Injury Update on Giannis Antetokounmpo
On Jan. 23, during the Bucks’ game against the Denver Nuggets, Antetokounmpo strained his right calf. He realized the injury after the loss to the Nuggets. Since then, Giannis has missed eight games and is expected to miss several more.
Concerns remain that Antetokounmpo’s calf strain could lead to a prolonged absence. However, indications suggest the Greek Freak may return sooner than anticipated.
In a recent interview, Bucks general manager Jon Horst stated that Antetokounmpo is now participating in physical activities with the team. Other sources reported that he is engaged in on-court workouts, including light running, agility drills, and mobility testing with trainers.
Although Horst did not provide an exact date for Antetokounmpo’s return, the team is targeting two to three weeks from the time of this report, ranging from Feb. 25 to March 4.
“He’s doing great,” Horst said. “Working his butt off, as you can imagine. Very, very diligent in his rehab. Focused on really only one thing, and that’s returning to play. Driving him crazy not having the opportunity to play right now. We will obviously make sure he doesn’t come back too soon and protect him, and work with him on that.
“But he’s doing really well and expect him to be back kind of on the initial timeline we had, which is still two or three weeks away at least,” Horst continued.
Jon Horst says Giannis’ rehab is going great but he is still “at least” 2-3 weeks away from returning:

Meanwhile, other reports have suggested that Antetokounmpo could return as early as after the All-Star break. Looking at Milwaukee’s schedule, the team is set to face the New Orleans Pelicans in its first game of the second half of the season.
For now, the situation remains uncertain. Official announcements from the Bucks organization or Antetokounmpo himself will determine the timeline for his return.
