NBA All-Star Saturday Details: Events, New Start Time, Date, Participants, TV Channel, Streaming, More

Here's everything you need to know about the events taking place on the second day (Feb. 14) of the 2026 NBA All-Star Weekend.

Just like in previous years, the 2026 NBA All-Star weekend spans three days, from Feb. 13 to Feb. 15 (Friday to Sunday). Here’s everything you need to know about the events on the second day.

NBA All-Star Saturday Details: Everything You Need To Know

While the format of the All-Star game itself has changed several times in the past few years, All-Star Saturday remains the same at its core. The second day of festivities features the “Shooting Stars” competition, the 3-point Contest, and the Slam Dunk Contest. Prior to these, though, the league will also hold a few other events.

The event starts with the All-Star Media Day, which will begin at 1:30 p.m. ET. This event is for the 2026 NBA All-Stars to meet with the media ahead of Sunday’s game. This will be followed by a news conference at 4 p.m., where Commissioner Adam Silver addresses the media. Both of these events are available to watch on NBA TV and the NBA App.

3-point Contest Start Time and Participants

At 5 p.m. ET, the day’s competitive events will kick off, starting with the State Farm 3-point contest.

This year features eight players, all from different teams. Of the eight participants, four are first-timers, while two are past champions returning to try to reclaim their crown. Here is the complete list of participants.

  • Devin Booker, Phoenix Suns guard (2018 winner)
  • Kon Knueppel, Charlotte Hornets forward (first-time participant)
  • Damian Lillard, Portland Trail Blazers guard (2023 & 2024 winner)
  • Tyrese Maxey, Philadelphia 76ers guard (first-time participant)
  • Donovan Mitchell, Cleveland Cavaliers guard (third-time participant)
  • Jamal Murray, Denver Nuggets guard (first-time participant)
  • Bobby Portis Jr., Milwaukee Bucks forward/center (first-time participant)
  • Norman Powell, Miami Heat guard/forward (second-time participant)

Interestingly, Lillard has not played in an NBA game all season long. He tore his Achilles tendon in the postseason last year while he was still with the Milwaukee Bucks, and many expect he’ll miss the entire 2025-26 season.

If he does win Saturday’s 3-point contest, he’ll become only the third player in league history to have three wins under his belt.

This event can be watched on NBC and Peacock.

Shooting Stars Competition Participants

The Shooting Stars competition will follow the conclusion of the 3-point contest. This will be a competition among four teams of three, each consisting of two current and one retired NBA player.

The four teams and their members are as follows.

  • Team All-Star: Scottie Barnes, Chet Holmgren, Richard Hamilton
  • Team Knicks: Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, Allan Houston
  • Team Cameron: Jalen Johnson, Kon Knueppel, Corey Maggette
  • Team Harper: Dylan Harper, Ron Harper Jr., Ron Harper Sr.

Most of these team names are straightforward.

“Team All-Star” features two current All-Stars who’ll be teaming up with Richard Hamilton, a three-time All-Star during his playing days. “Team Knicks” consists of two current and one former New York Knicks player. “Team Harper” is a squad featuring five-time NBA champion Ron Harper Sr. and his two sons, who are both current NBA players.

“Team Cameron,” which might be a confusing name to some, features three Duke University alumni. Their team name is a nod to Cameron Indoor Stadium, the home court of the Duke Blue Devils.

There is no set start time for this event, as it will depend on how long the 3-point contest goes for. Similarly, it can also be broadcast on NBC and Peacock.

Slam Dunk Contest Participants

The final event of the night is the AT&T Slam Dunk contest. This year, all four participants are first-timers, including two NBA rookies. These are the four players taking part:

  • Carter Bryant, San Antonio Spurs forward (Rookie)
  • Jaxson Hayes, Los Angeles Lakers center
  • Keshad Johnson, Miami Heat forward
  • Jase Richardson, Orlando Magic guard (Rookie)

Just like the event before it, there is no set starting time for the Slam Dunk Contest. It will begin once the Shooting Stars Competition concludes and the winner is crowned.
