Alperen Şengün made Houston Rockets history against the Indiana Pacers.

On Monday night, the Houston Rockets played the Indiana Pacers in Indianapolis.

The Rockets (who were playing without Kevin Durant), won by a score of 118-114.

Alperen Şengün went off for 39 points, 16 rebounds and five assists while shooting 13/25 from the field in 35 minutes of playing time.

In addition to his performance, Şengün also made impressive Rockets history.

Şengün came into the night with averages of 21.0 points, 9.2 rebounds, 6.4 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.0 blocks per contest while shooting 50.0% from the field and 30.0% from three-point range in 40 games.

He is in his fifth NBA season (all with the Rockets).

With their victory over the Pacers, the Rockets improved to a 31-17 record in 48 games, which has them as the fifth seed in the Western Conference.

They are in the middle of a three-game winning streak (and 8-2 over their last ten).

Following the Pacers, the Rockets will play their next game on Wednesday night when they host the Boston Celtics.

As for the Pacers, they dropped to 13-37 in 50 games, which has them as the 15th seed in the Eastern Conference.

They have gone 4-6 over their last ten games (and are 10-17 at home).

Following the Rockets, the Pacers will play their next game on Tuesday when they host the Utah Jazz.

Ming (who is a Basketball Hall of Famer) spent all eight of his NBA seasons playing for the Rockets.

He made the All-Star Game every year.
