On Thursday night, the Phoenix Suns played the Detroit Pistons (at home) in Arizona.

The Suns won by a score of 114-96.

Dillon Brooks led the way with 40 points, eight rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block while shooting 13/22 from the field and 4/7 from three-point range in 33 minutes of playing time.

After the game, Brooks made his feelings clear about fellow Suns star Devin Booker.

Brooks (h/t Arizona Sports): “Our real All-Star is Book. He’s been leading us the whole time, and he deserves to be in that All-Star talk.”

Booker has missed each of the previous three games.

The four-time NBA All-Star is averaging 25.4 points, 4.0 rebounds and 6.2 assists per contest while shooting 45.6% from the field and 31.3% from three-point range in 41 games.

Brooks is in his first season playing for the Suns after stints with the Memphis Grizzlies and Houston Rockets.

With their win over the Pistons, the Suns improved to 29-19 in 48 games, which has them as the seventh seed in the Western Conference.

They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak (and 6-4 over their last ten).

Following the Pistons, the Suns will host Donovan Mitchell and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night in Arizona (they are 16-6 at home).

The Suns are coming off a season where they missed the 2025 NBA playoffs with Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal (and Booker) on the roster.
