NBA Champion Urges Timberwolves To Trade for $197,230,450 Star To Inject ‘Scoring Punch’ Next to Anthony Edwards

A former NBA champion urges the Minnesota Timberwolves to trade for a $197,230,450 star to help Anthony Edwards.

There’s no denying that Anthony Edwards has solidified himself as one of the NBA’s biggest stars today. Now playing in his sixth season, Edwards is only getting better with age, although he has yet to win the championship. He’s a three-time All-Star, set to play in his fourth All-Star game. A former NBA champion recently weighed in on Edwards’ situation with the Wolves and believes that he needs another star to help him bring home the gold.

Jeff Teague Urges Wolves to Acquire Ja Morant to Help Anthony Edwards’ Championship Aspirations

Despite all the individual success he’s garnered, Edwards himself isn’t satisfied until he wins the championship. However, Antman has struggled to achieve that goal throughout his time with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

In a recent episode of the “520 Podcast”, former NBA champion Jeff Teague expressed his thoughts on the Timberwolves‘ current situation. Minnesota is in a tight spot at the moment. The team is currently sitting in 7th place, fluctuating in and out of the playoff picture.

Teague believes Edwards is struggling to lead the Wolves to success because of a lack of offensive support. While Teague acknowledged how Antman’s teammates would have their moments to efficiently support their star, the former NBA guard feels that Minnesota should pursue another star.

Teague name-dropped $197,230,450 star Ja Morant as one of the players the Timberwolves should soon pursue.

“They need another scoring star,” Teague said. “They could use Ja Morant, seriously. … They need another scoring (guard) that they’re not getting at that position. … It takes too much for Ant when it comes to the guard position. He’s the only one who gets crazy buckets.”

The Memphis Grizzlies previously expressed their intention to trade Morant. Both parties have outgrown each other and are ready to move on to new chapters. Sending Morant to the Timberwolves doesn’t sound like a bad idea.

Not only will Edwards finally have a co-star to help him on the offensive end of the court, but Morant would also finally be playing with a team that has a chance to contend for a title. While unlikely, this could also help change Morant’s mindset on the court if he plays for a team that aims to win the gold.
