Former Philadelphia 76ers star Julius Erving made a post to Instagram (on Monday).

Julius Erving is one of the best 25 players in all of NBA history.

The Philadelphia 76ers legend last played in the league during the 1986-87 season.

Erving was the 12th pick in the 1972 NBA Draft.

He had spent the first five years of his pro career playing for the Virginia Squires and New York Nets (in the ABA).

In that span, Erving won two titles with the Nets.

Erving then went on to play all 11 of his NBA years with the 76ers.

He led the franchise to the 1983 title over Magic Johnson and the Los Angeles Lakers.

His career averages were 24.2 points, 8.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.7 blocks per contest while shooting 50.6% from the field and 29.8% from three-point range in 1,243 games.
