Jordan Poole and the Pelicans lost to the Suns on Saturday night in New Orleans.

On Saturday evening, the New Orleans Pelicans played the Phoenix Suns at the Smoothie King Center.

The Pelicans lost by a score of 123-114.

Jordan Poole finished the loss with one point, one rebound and three assists while shooting 0/3 from three-point range in 14 minutes of playing time.

Poole is in his first season playing for New Orleans.

The former Michigan star came into the day with averages of 17.2 points, 1.9 rebounds and 3.5 assists per contest while shooting 37.1% from the field and 28.6% from three-point range in 13 games.

With their loss to the Suns, the Pelicans dropped to 8-25 in 33 games, which has them as the 15th seed in the Western Conference.

They are in the middle of a three-game losing streak (and 6-14 at home).

Following the Suns, the Pelicans will play their next game on Monday night when they host Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks.

Poole spent the first four seasons of his career playing for the Golden State Warriors (before the last two with the Washington Wizards).

He helped lead the Warriors to the 2022 NBA Championship over the Boston Celtics.

As for the Suns, they improved to 18-13 in 31 games, which has them as the seventh seed.

They have won three games in a row.
