With the holiday spirit in full force, Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Dončić took the floor in the team’s Christmas Day matchup against the Houston Rockets wearing a new signature shoe.
The 26-year-old, who has long been under endorsement with the Jordan Brand, remains one of the league’s most prominent talents, making his footwear choice a subject of continued attention.
Luka Dončić’s Luka 5 Unveiled
Dončić is part of the Jordan Brand’s star‑studded roster of athletes, placing him in a professional association with the Chicago Bulls legend. With each strong performance, the Lakers guard continues to drive sales of Jordan footwear. He debuted the next model in his line, the Luka 5, against the Rockets.

The Luka 5s are scheduled for release on Jan. 8, 2026. According to initial reports, this fifth model in his signature shoe line will be priced between $135 and $145. That number may vary depending on size and location.
One of the colorways, called Venom, features a green sole that gives the shoe a sleek appearance. Reflecting Dončić’s playstyle, the design emphasizes balance and stability in the inner foot rather than prioritizing pure directional speed or explosiveness. The shoe also incorporates Zoom Air cushioning to provide a more comfortable on‑court experience.
The foot rests on the cushion to create responsive force, enabling controlled energy output. It was also made clear that the midsole is built for stop-and-go actions and can even help prevent ankle rolls. Thus, the Luka 5 is expected to be more popular among shifty guards who constantly change direction, as opposed to more explosive high flyers.
“Working with Jordan Brand on the Luka 5 was about making something that fits my game and keeps evolving with me,” the Slovenian superstar said, per Nike. “The full-length Zoom Strobel and ISOband give me that extra pop and control so I can attack from any spot on the floor. Every time I lace them up, I know I’m ready to go.”
The Luka 5s are Dončić’s second signature shoe since he was traded to the Lakers in February. In March, he unveiled both the Jordan Luka 4 and the Jordan Luka .77.
Dončić is producing at an MVP‑caliber level in his first full season with the Lakers, averaging a league‑best 34.1 points along with 8.6 rebounds and 8.8 assists per game. He is shooting 45.8% from the field and 32.0% from 3‑point range, both below his career averages, but his 80.7% free‑throw mark is an improvement over his norm.
