Here’s what people were saying about Durant:

ClutchPoints: “Kevin Durant was PERFECT in the 1st quarter of Rockets-Pelicans 🚀 13 points 2 blocks 5-of-5 FG 3-of-3 3PT”

@QB2Good: “It’s too easy for teams to take Kevin Durant out of the offense in 4th quarters”

@_yayeezy: “Man I mean I’ve watch Kevin Durant get doubled for basically a whole quarter man. I mean as soon as he crosses half court he getting doubled. Rockets can’t convince themselves they don’t need a PG. KD can’t initiate when he’s hot. Defense will just double or triple him.”

@BradeauxNBA: “Kevin Durant is unreal… 13 PTS on 5/5 shooting in the first quarter. His 88th career quarter with at least 10 or more points without a miss.”

@stevejones20: “Houston using Kevin Durant as a screener for Alperen Sengun and getting a lot out of it. KD works to screen his own and then screen for Sengun. Gets downhill and scores. Next time on the side, Pelicans switch, KD one pass away and Sengun goes to work.”

Durant had come into the night with averages of 24.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.0 assists per contest while shooting 50.1% from the field and 40.4% from three-point range.

The future Hall of Famer is in his first season playing for the Rockets.
