The Spurs guard Stephon Castle, who signed a four-year, $41.35 million contract in 2024, delivered one of the most impressive performances of the game, scoring 30 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists during his 27 minutes of action on the court. That helped the team advance to the semifinals.

V.J. Edgecombe was actually the first athlete this season to receive a signed jersey from the four-time NBA champion himself, and the young Spurs guard became the second to follow shortly after. The gesture places him in rare company, highlighting just how strongly James views his potential.
As for James, he also had a decent performance in the quarterfinal. In his 36 minutes of play, he scored 19 points, eight assists, and 15 rebounds. Overall, the four-time NBA champion is averaging 16.5 points, shooting 46.8% from the field, along with 6.0 rebounds and 7.6 assists per game.
Meanwhile, Luka Dončić yet again had a great night on the court, exploding with 35 points, the highest in the game. He also had eight assists and five rebounds during his 41 minutes on the floor. Additionally, Austin Reaves chimed in and scored 15 points with seven assists and eight rebounds.
Next for the Spurs is a semifinal game against the Oklahoma City Thunder at T-Mobile Arena on Saturday. On the other hand, after losing in the quarterfinals, the Lakers will look to bounce back and improve their regular-season rankings in the game against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday.
