On Friday night, the Indiana Pacers will visit the Philadelphia 76ers at the Wells Fargo Center.
The Pacers come into the matchup as the 14th seed in the Eastern Confernece with a 6-18 record in 24 games.
Indiana Pacers Release Jeremiah Robinson-Earl Before 76ers Game
Before the game, the Pacers announced that they had made a roster move by waiving Jeremiah Robinson-Earl.
He had been averaging 4.6 points and 5.2 rebounds per contest while shooting 34.9% from the field and 24.2% from three-point range in 17 games.
Via The Indiana Pacers: “We have signed guard Garrison Mathews. In a subsequent move, we have waived forward Jeremiah Robinson-Earl.”
Robinson-Earl was the 32nd pick in the 2021 NBA Draft out of Villanova.
He spent spent the first four years of his career playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder and New Orleans Pelicans.
His career averages are 5.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.0 assists per contest while shooting 43.4% from the field and 33.6% from three-point range in 214 games.

As for Matthews, he has appeared in nine games for the Pacers so far this year.
He is averaging 4.8 points per contest while shooting 35.5% from the field and 32.1% from three-point range.
Before the Pacers, Matthews spent time playing for the Atlanta Hawks, Houston Rockets and Washington Wizards.
Scott Agness of Fieldhouse Files reported (on December 10): “Today (Dec. 10) is the final day of Pacers guard Garrison Matthews’ second and final 10-day contract with the Pacers. So if they want to keep him, they’d have to sign him to a standard contract.”

As for the Pacers, they are coming off a year where they reached the NBA Finals for the first time since the 2000 season.
That said, they are without star point guard Tyrese Haliburton for the entire 2025-26 season.
Right now, the Pacers are in the middle of a two-game winning streak (and 5-5 over their last ten).
Following the 76ers, they will play their next game on Sunday afternoon when they host the Washington Wizards in Indiana.
