The Golden State Warriors are dealing with multiple injuries this season, especially for Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Al Horford.
All three players have vital roles in determining how the Warriors fare throughout the 2025-26 NBA campaign, making their returns to the court crucial. Here are the latest updates on the progress of the three players in their recovery processes.

Injury Updates on Warriors’ Stephen Curry and Draymond Green
Curry has been sidelined since late November. He suffered a quad injury in the Warriors’ 104-100 loss to the Houston Rockets, seeing him miss the next five games.
ESPN reporter Anthony Slater provided an update on the veteran star guard on December 10. Curry fully practiced that day, and Steve Kerr was optimistic about his return to the court.
“Steph Curry practiced tonight for the Warriors. Scrimmaged, full go. Steve Kerr said it is looking promising for Curry’s return on Friday against the Timberwolves, though not an official green light yet,” Slater wrote.
Green has been out since Dec. 4 after spraining his right mid-foot, missing the last two contests. As for Horford, he has been dealing with sciatica, a nerve injury that has kept him out of the previous two games. Kerr also provided updates on the frontcourt veterans, per reporter Sam Gordon.
“Draymond Green (right mid-foot sprain) missed practice today with an excused absence, Kerr said. Expected to practice Thursday. Al Horford (sciatica) participated in half the practice but won’t play Friday,” Gordon wrote.
“Needs to stack together a few days before we put him out there,” Kerr said.
Sixteen games into the season, Curry is averaging 27.9 points, four assists, and 3.7 rebounds per game. He is shooting 47.1% from the field, including 39.1% from beyond the arc, and 91.9% from the free-throw line.
Green follows with a season stat line of eight points, 6.1 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game throughout 20 appearances. Meanwhile, Horford is producing 5.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, and two assists per contest throughout 13 games.
What’s Next on Schedule for Curry and Warriors?
The Warriors need their veteran stars to be on the court as much as possible to win as many games as possible. However, the injuries will limit their ceiling, as it would be their biggest weakness if Curry, Green, and Horford remain sidelined.
Golden State has a 13-12 record on the season, holding the eighth spot in the Western Conference standings. They are 1.5 games ahead of the Memphis Grizzlies and 3.5 games ahead of the Portland Trail Blazers, while trailing the Phoenix Suns by one game and the Minnesota Timberwolves by 2.5 games.
The Warriors will continue their preparations for their next matchup, which will take place at home. They host the Timberwolves on Dec. 12 at 10 p.m. ET.
