Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo, his girlfriend A’ja Wilson, and teammate Tyler Herro helped bring early holiday cheer to Miami with a Thanksgiving turkey giveaway that quickly gained traction across social media platforms.

Bam Adebayo Celebrates Thanksgiving Early With Girlfriend A’Ja Wilson
The event, held on Tuesday, November 26, at Charles Hadley Park, showcased a unified effort by the trio to support local families ahead of the holiday.
Josh Moser, a Miami-based sportscaster and host, posted a video clip on X showing the players cheerfully handing out food and other essential items, drawing warm reactions from fans impressed by their community engagement.
According to Local 10 reporter Kacy Hintz, the event was organized through the players’ respective charitable foundations: the Bam, Books & Brotherhood Foundation and the T. Herro Foundation.
The Thanksgiving pop-up grocery event went beyond turkey distribution, offering a wide range of necessities. Families received full Thanksgiving meal staples, clothing and shoes, groceries, and access to medical and wellness services.
Adebayo and Wilson’s appearance together added to the event’s visibility. The couple first sparked relationship rumors after being seen together during the 2024 Paris Olympics. Wilson later confirmed they were dating during Adebayo’s jersey retirement ceremony in February at the University of South Carolina.
Since then, their public appearances have drawn significant interest, particularly given both athletes’ status as stars in their respective leagues. Wilson recently offered heartfelt praise for Adebayo during an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show.
“Bam, he’s a gem,” Wilson said. “He’s a star, obviously, in his own world, but when it comes to us, he’s always showing up. His unwavering support, I mean, he was flying in and out of town, and he always constantly shows up for me. I’m just grateful to have a partner that is just along with the ride, like just there through the times where I can’t be A’ja Wilson all the time. He picks me up.”
Her remarks provided a rare glimpse into their relationship dynamic, further highlighting the mutual support between two of basketball’s most accomplished figures.
Wilson entered the WNBA offseason following a landmark year in which she secured her fourth league MVP award and led the Las Vegas Aces to a third championship. She dominated the 2025 postseason with averages of 26.8 points, 10 rebounds, and 3.3 assists.
Adebayo, meanwhile, continues to anchor the Heat, averaging 19.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 2.8 assists on 45.1% shooting so far this season. His consistent play and longstanding local popularity made his presence at the giveaway especially meaningful for Miami residents.
The Miami Heat, meanwhile, are doing well early in the season. They sit in the third spot in the Eastern Conference with a 12-6 record. They are on a five-game winning streak and will hit the court on Wednesday against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Adebayo and Herro will again be in the lead role and will push for another win and strengthen their standings further.
