Despite their narrow win against the Washington Wizards, Chicago Bulls star Nikola Vučević isn’t happy about their victory. Frustrated with the team’s play, the Bulls star didn’t hesitate before calling the team out postgame.
His interview with the media went viral soon after, with fans speculating about a possible trade as the 2025-26 season progresses.

Nikola Vučević Voices Displeasure After Narrow Win vs. the Washington Wizards
On Saturday, Vučević — with 28 points to his name — led the Bulls to a 121-120 win against the Wizards.
And while fans hyped the 35-year-old’s effort, there were obvious trade talks and mentions of friction between Vučević and his teammates.
“For three quarters or whatever, we were very soft,” he explained. “We gave no resistance. We didn’t do anything that we talked about.”
Also referring to their performance as “not good enough”, he later added: “We just didn’t play up to NBA standards.”
Many fans pointed out Vučević’s obvious discomfort during his postgame interview, snapping at his teammates to move while they interrupted. “Bro was not in the mood,” one fan wrote.
He must hate them😭

Some users, though, were convinced that the veteran’s done playing with the team. A fan, who agreed with the same, said, “He must hate them😭.”
Obviously, there were direct trade talks as many suggested possible teams and offers for Vučević. “Get ready to to learn Dallas Maverick,” one user suggested.
Get this man in a Heat uniform🤣

“Get this man in a Heat uniform🤣,” another fan joked, sending Vučević to Miami.
Of course, Golden State Warriors fans — desperate for a shake-up in their defense — were excited to think Vučević might be available. “Yo bring this dude over here man 😭,” one Warriors fan said.
Some NBA fans also pointed out the problem with a possible move. While someone like Vučević would be an asset to most teams, his defensive weaknesses could cause long-term problems.
Another fan, asking him to take some responsibility, said, “He’s basically telling the Front Office to trade him ASAP. And look, I get where he’s coming from, But let’s keep it real… he also needs to mention how he’s been a liability on defense and what he needs to do to tighten that up. Accountability goes both ways.”
Bro is begging to get traded 😭😂

Vučević Also Contributes to the Team’s Lacking Defense
Averaging 16.7 points and 9.6 rebounds this season, Vučević remains a strong core for the Bulls. He’s been a great clutch player for the Bulls, especially picking up from the three-point line (40.7%). To put it bluntly, the Bulls’ offensive lineup might fall apart without Vučević.
But his style of play comes with its own set of issues. Heavy on his feet, Vučević’s inability to guard becomes glaringly obvious — especially around the rim. The closer he gets to the basket, the more difficult it is for Vučević to defend.
However, most fans seem to put Vučević’s frustration in perspective. While some want the veteran to move on, some Bulls fans believe he’s essential to the team’s success. And considering the constant trade chatter, only time will tell if the Bulls are willing to part ways with the two-time NBA All-Star.
