On Friday evening, the New Orleans Pelicans will host the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Pelicans come into the night with a 2-9 record in 11 games, which has them as the 15th seed in the Western Conference.

Jordan Poole Ruled Out For Extended Period
Before the game, the Pelicans made an announcement about 2022 NBA Champion Jordan Poole.
Via The Pelicans: “Pelicans announce that Jordan Poole, who was diagnosed with a mild left vastus lateralis (quad) strain on November 7, was recently re-evaluated. The evaluation showed he is making good progress with his recovery. Poole will be re-assessed in approximately one week and further updates will be appropriately provided.”

Poole is in his first season playing for New Orleans.
The former Michigan star is averaging 17.3 points, 1.7 rebounds and 3.4 assists per contest while shooting 35.4% from the field and 33.9% from three-point range in seven games.
Poole has also spent time with the Washington Wizards and Golden State Warriors over seven total seasons.
His career averages are 16.9 points, 2.7 rebounds and 3.8 assists per contest.
Following the Lakers, the Pelicans will play their next game on Sunday when they host Steph Curry and the Warriors.
