The Kings have allowed 130+ points in three out of their last four games.

After the loss, LaVine made an honest statement when he met with the media.

LaVine (h/t Brenden Nunes of Sactown Sports 1140): “We’ve all been trying. I’ve been trying my a** off on defense. You need a team collective… Sometimes, you need the right personnel out there. You’re not going to ask Rudy Gobert to go out there and average 30… I think guys are giving the right effort. It’s just frustrating that we’re not getting the right results.”

LaVine is in his second season playing for the Kings.

The two-time NBA All-Star is now averaging 25.2 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists per contest while shooting 52.7% from the field and 43.1% from three-point range in nine games.

The Kings are the 13th seed in the Western Conference with a 3-7 record in ten games.

They will play their next game on Tuesday night when they host Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets.

At home, the Kings have gone 2-3 in five games.
