The Golden State Warriors went into the season with high hopes after signing the likes of Al Horford. It seemed like they had solved the desperate need for an actual center, which allowed Draymond Green to take a backseat at times whenever needed. However, things haven’t gone all too well for Stephen Curry and Co. right now.
The Warriors currently have a 5-5 record, including two consecutive losses previously. They are coming off defeats to the Sacramento Kings and Denver Nuggets in the NBA Cup. Given the hectic schedule, the last thing Warriors fans would want to see is injury troubles, which unfortunately have been the case for the Dubs now.
Will Stephen Curry Play Against the Pacers?
Curry has undoubtedly been the best player for the Warriors this season, followed by Jimmy Butler III. Curry is averaging 26.8 points so far, along with 1.5 steals per game. He did not play in the last two games due to illness, and his status for tonight’s Pacers game is also in question.
The four-time NBA champion previously mentioned that the illness was worsening before the game against the Kings. Warriors insider Anthony Slater also mentioned before the Nuggets game that Curry’s health deteriorated and that he would be sidelined. Warriors HC Steve Kerr also mentioned that he was hopeful that Curry’s health would improve.
Steph Curry (illness) and Al Horford (foot strain) are both questionable to return tomorrow for the Warriors at home against the Pacers.

Unfortunately for the Dubs, Curry’s status remains in major question. He is currently listed as questionable on the Warriors’ injury report for the Pacers game. Slater also reports that Horford is questionable to play, too, with a foot strain.
The Warriors’ second-best player is Butler, and he is currently the team’s second-highest scorer this season. If Curry remains on the sidelines, Butler likely leads the charge against last season’s finalists.
The Warriors forward had a decent night against the Nuggets in the last game, managing to score 16 points in 31 minutes. He will undoubtedly be looking to bounce back against the Pacers tonight, and Tyrese Haliburton’s absence will surely be an advantage for the Warriors.
As for Curry, his status appears to be a game-time decision. Even if he returns to the lineup tonight, his minutes are likely to be minimized to ensure an effective recovery.
