Durant is in his first year playing for the Rockets.
At 37, the future Hall of Famer is currently averaging 24.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 47.0% from the field and 38.2% from three-point range in eight games.
With the loss, the Rockets dropped to 5-3 in their first eight games, which has them as the sixth seed in the Western Conference.
They will play their next game on Sunday afternoon when they visit the Milwaukee Bucks in Wisconsin.
As for Wembanyama, he finished the victory with 22 points, eight rebounds, four assists, one steal and two blocks while shooting 8/16 from the field and 0/2 from three-point range in 37 minutes of playing time.

The Spurs are the third seed in the Western Conference with a 6-2 record in eight games.
