Los Angeles Lakers Make Roster Move Before Timberwolves Game

The Los Angeles Lakers have assigned a player to the G League before Wednesday's game against the Timberwolves.

On Wednesday night, the Los Angeles Lakers will be in Minnesota to play the Timberwolves at the Target Center.

The Lakers are coming off a 122-108 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers (at home).

Los Angeles Lakers Assign Player To G League

Before the game, the Lakers announced that they had made a roster move by assigning Adou Thiero to the G League (South Bay).

Via Dan Woike of The Athletic: “Adou Thiero has been assigned to South Bay – could be an opportunity to get him more practice time and maybe live opportunities. Will ask JJ about that here in a few”

Thiero was the 36th pick in the 2025 NBA Draft (out of Arkansas).

He finished his final season of college basketball with averages of 15.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.6 steals per contest while shooting 54.5% from the field in 27 games (26 starts).

Via Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet: “Adou Thiero has been cleared for live on-court contact work, with 5-on-5 coming next. He’s been assigned to South Bay. JJ Redick said he’s excited about how Thiero can eventually impact the Lakers with his size, athleticism and motor.”

The Lakers have gone 2-2 in their first four games of the new season.

Following the Timberwolves, they will play their next game on Friday night when they visit Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies.
