How Did Victor Wembanyama Make History?

After another dominant performance against the Brooklyn Nets that gave the team its third victory, the NBA had a shocking announcement about one of its most promising young talents.

After the game, the NBA made a stunning announcement about the historic pace the former Rookie of the Year was on. Thanks to his performances, he became the first player in history to record 100 or more points with 18 or more blocks through the first three games of a season.

The first game, when he demolished the Dallas Mavericks with extreme precision, seemed like the official announcement of his arrival. Since then, he hasn’t hit the brakes even once, pushing ahead at breakneck speed.

Against the Mavs, he scored 40 points, 15 rebounds and three blocks, helping San Antonio win 125-92. Two days later, against the New Orleans Pelicans, the competition was far stiffer, and the game went to overtime.

However, the Spurs again came out on top, with a final score of 120-116, as Wemby added 29 points, 11 rebounds and an insane nine blocks.

This time around, the Nets came to San Antonio for the team’s home opener. Dialing up something special for the fans in attendance, Wembanyama stuffed the stat sheet with 31 points, 14 rebounds, four assists, six blocks and three steals, including a mind-boggling play where he blocked Brooklyn twice in two seconds before stepping up and hitting a long triple after barely taking a step beyond the logo.

It brought a rabid crowd onto its feet, as the Spurs immediately announced themselves as a player in the Western Conference. Now, the scary part? He’s only just getting started.
