Porzingis was traded to the Hawks (over the summer) after spending the last two years with the Boston Celtics.
He played a major role in them winning the 2024 NBA Championship over the Dallas Mavericks.
Porzingis wrote (in June): “Boston will always be special in my heart. Huge thank you to the organization, coaches, staff, my teammates and the fans! Class organization. Forever grateful. ☘️”
Porzingis finished his first game with the Hawks with 20 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two blocks while shooting 5/12 from the field and 4/7 from the three-point range in 26 minutes of playing time.
Following the Thunder, they will play their fourth game of the season on Monday night when they visit the Chicago Bulls at the United Center.
As for the Thunder, they are a perfect 2-0 after defeating the Houston Rockets and Indiana Pacers.
Following the Hawks, they will play their next game on Monday night when they visit the Dallas Mavericks in Texas.
