Is Giannis Antetokounmpo Playing Tonight? Latest Injury Update on Bucks Star for Raptors Game

Milwaukee Bucks fans are eager for an update on Giannis Antetokounmpo ahead of tonight’s matchup against the Toronto Raptors. Read to know more.

The Milwaukee Bucks had a strong preseason run where they won three of their four matchups. Moreover, it’s safe to say that the Bucks even carried that energy straight into the regular season as they opened with a 133–120 victory over the Washington Wizards.

Now, as the Bucks get ready for their game against the Toronto Raptors on Friday night, the fans have just one question on their minds, and it is whether Giannis Antetokounmpo will play or not.

Is Giannis Antetokounmpo Going to Suit Up Tonight Against the Toronto Raptors?

As per the latest injury report from ESPN, Antetokounmpo is currently dealing with a sprained left great toe, and the two-time MVP has been officially listed as probable for tonight’s matchup against the Raptors, which is a status that offers a bit of hope for Bucks fans.

“Probable” in NBA injury usually means there’s a strong chance he’ll suit up. Also, if we see Antetokounmpo has a history of playing through minor issues, so expectations are high that he’ll be on the court once again.

Earlier this week, there was some concern when Antetokounmpo was listed as questionable for the season opener, and it was due to lower back soreness. But fortunately for the Milwaukee squad, the superstar not only played but also completely dominated the game.

In that game against the Wizards, Antetokounmpo scored 37 points, 14 rebounds, and five assists and led the Bucks to victory in front of their home crowd.

While the Bucks’ fans can breathe a sigh of relief about Antetokounmpo’s “probable” status, they will be missing another key contributor, Kevin Porter Jr., who has been ruled out for the game as he is recovering from a left ankle sprain.

What Is the Condition of the Toronto Raptors Squad?

On the other side, the Toronto Raptors aren’t entering Friday’s clash with a completely healthy squad either. The players on their injury list are:

  • Ja’Kobe Walter – Out (Illness)
  • Collin Murray-Boyles – Questionable (Forearm)

The Raptors have also looked sharp to start the season. They opened their 2025–26 campaign with a win over the Atlanta Hawks and were powered by performances from RJ Barrett and Scottie Barnes, who scored 25 and 22 points, respectively.

With both teams riding early-season momentum, Friday night’s contest is shaping up to be an exciting battle between two Eastern Conference contenders.
