Warriors Star Draymond Green Reveals His Top-5 NFL WRs

As a new NBA season kicks off, Draymond Green reveals his football insight by naming his five best wide receivers in the NFL through seven weeks.

The 2025 NFL season is seven weeks in, and fans are starting to get a sense of what the league is going to look like. There have been some unexpected surprises, like the success of the New England Patriots and the Indianapolis Colts, while teams like the Minnesota Vikings, Washington Commanders, and Baltimore Ravens have been major disappointments. All in all, though, the season has been wildly unpredictable and made better for it.

However, one area where players seem to be particularly shining is on offense. While the Colts have an offense that is bordering on all-time territory, others like the Dallas Cowboys aren’t far behind. With the NBA season just beginning, one of the most prolific winners in modern basketball history, four-time champion Draymond Green, revealed who he believed were the five best wide receivers in football currently, who have ultimately led to this offensive explosion.

Top 5 Wide Receivers By Draymond Green

A former Defensive Player of the Year and a key cog to a historic dynasty with the Golden State Warriors, the intensity with Green was a major reason for the success of his franchise over the 2010s.

Even now, as the core of that team has entered the twilight of their careers, they remain a major stakeholder in the league, with the Warriors impossible to count on in any given season. But with football in full swing, the four-time All-Star was set to an unusual task.

During a conversation with Jordan Schultz, Green was asked about the five receivers he believed were playing the best in the NFL this season, and his answer was remarkably simple.

As Schultz alluded to the three-touchdown performance from Davante Adams in a London game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Green felt compelled to include him in the list. Then, though, he pulled out a true shocker.

Giving the nod to rookie Emeka Egbuka, he believed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers phenom was having a marvelous start to his football career. When Schultz admitted that it was a surprising inclusion, Green explained his rationale.

“I got to put him up there. It’s not that he’s just a top-five receiver in the NFL. No, you gotta earn that. But he’s definitely playing the football of a top-five receiver.” The next name on Green’s list was a player who has taken a true leap into superstardom in the form of Jaxson Smith-Njigba.

Finally, he rounded out the list with two names that feel impossible to leave out of any such list, Ja’Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson. However, beyond the five, the Warriors franchise legend had an honorable mention, too, in the form of Puka Nacua, whom he did not include “because of the injury.”

The cream of the crop in the NFL when it comes to wide receivers has been truly elite this season. Names like Amon-Ra St. Brown and DeVonta Smith did not make the cut for Green, but they have been amazing all year long.

The five players he did mention, though, all line up in the top-20 of the league when it comes to receiving yards, and the PFSN’s WR Impact, except for Adams, who ranks 47th in the latter.
