“The kickoff time for Texas A&M vs. Arkansas has been pushed back two hours, to 4:30 p.m., due to thunderstorms in Northwest Arkansas and in the forecast this afternoon. The game will still air on ESPN.” Texas A&M reporter Carter Karels revealed.
Today’s game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN, as the two face each other in Week 8 of the 2025 college football season. Mark Jones and Roddy Jones will call the game from the booth. Meanwhile, Quint Kessenich will report from the sidelines.
Texas is currently undefeated in the SEC, with a 6-0 record on the season. They currently sit No.4 in the Associated Press rankings poll. However, a victory today could potentially shoot them up the rankings following the Miami Hurricanes’ shocking loss last night.
The Louisville Cardinals marched into Hard Rock Stadium as underdogs and walked out as victors. In a stunning upset, the Cardinals narrowly defeated the No. 2-ranked Miami. This defeat has potential implications for Texas A&M today.
With No. 2 Miami losing, Texas A&M now has a chance to do something that it hasn’t done in 30 years. By beating Arkansas tomorrow, No. 4 A&M could move into the top three of the AP Poll for the first time since ranking No. 3 in Week 5 of the 1995 season.

Not only would this be the Aggies’ highest ranking since 1995, it would also be a record start to the season. With a victory over the Razorbacks today, Texas A&M could go 7-0 on the season. This would be their best start since the 1984 season.
Meanwhile, the former Razorback’s offensive coordinator recently served his first game as interim head coach. The Razorbacks looked significantly improved under the former Arkansas head coach, narrowly losing out to a 5-1 Tennessee Volunteers team.
Petrino will have the rest of the season to prove his case to stay on as head coach. The Razorbacks are currently 2-4, and are projected to go 4-7 on the season according to PFN’s College Football Playoff Meter.
