It’s the final weekend before the NBA regular season begins, which means you’re coming here for your fantasy basketball drafts.
Should you draft Cason Wallace this season? Here’s the latest outlook, projections, and rankings for the Oklahoma City Thunder Point Guard.
Should You Draft Cason Wallace in Fantasy Basketball?
Cason Wallace enters Year 3 as one of the NBA’s most tenacious backcourt defenders. With title experience under his belt, the 21-year-old could build on his early-career success in the 2025-26 campaign.
Last season, Wallace averaged 8.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.8 steals, and 1.1 3-pointers per game while shooting 47.4% from the field across 68 outings. While not eye-popping numbers, he ranked third in the league in steals despite logging just 27.6 minutes a night and alternating between starter and reserve roles.
While Wallace still faces stiff competition on a stacked Thunder roster, at this year’s Media Day, he underscored his desire to be “more aggressive offensively.” At worst, the Kentucky product profiles as a valuable steals specialist in category leagues. If his offensive output improves, he could easily outperform his late-round draft projection in standard formats.
