Norman Powell Fantasy Outlook: Should You Draft the Miami Heat Shooting Guard This Year?

Should you draft Norman Powell in fantasy basketball this year? Latest fantasy projection for the Miami Heat Shooting Guard.

It’s the final weekend before the NBA regular season begins, which means you’re coming here for your fantasy basketball drafts.

Should you draft Norman Powell this season? Here’s the latest outlook, projections, and rankings for the Miami Heat Shooting Guard.

Should You Draft Norman Powell in Fantasy Basketball?

Norman Powell delivered career-best production in his age-31 campaign with the Clippers, garnering Most Improved Player consideration before slowing down late in the season. The explosive score-first wing thrived with increased touches during Kawhi Leonard’s (knee) early-season absence.

Across 60 outings, Powell averaged a personal best 21.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.2 steals, and 3.0 3-pointers per game on exceptional 48.4/41.8/80.4 shooting splits. After getting dealt to Miami in the offseason, he should once again be in store for a prominent offensive role in Year 11 on a Heat squad lacking offensive punch beyond stars Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo.

Powell should also receive another early-season boost with Herro (foot/ankle) expected to miss at least the first few weeks of the 2025-26 campaign. That said, the veteran’s fantasy value is heavily dependent on scoring, triples, and efficiency, with little complementary stats, rendering him a high-floor, low-ceiling seventh to ninth-round target in standard leagues.
