Bennedict Mathurin Fantasy Outlook: Should You Draft the Indiana Pacers Shooting Guard This Year?

Should you draft Bennedict Mathurin in fantasy basketball this year? Latest fantasy projection for the Indiana Pacers shooting guard.

It’s the final weekend before the NBA regular season begins, which means you’re coming here for your fantasy basketball drafts.

Should you draft Bennedict Mathurin this season? Here’s the latest outlook, projections, and rankings for the Indiana Pacers Shooting Guard.

Should You Draft Bennedict Mathurin in Fantasy Basketball?

Bennedict Mathurin has been a relatively one-dimensional fantasy contributor through his first three seasons, offering steady scoring with limited complementary stats. He peaked offensively as a rookie, averaging 16.7 points per game, but still finished as Indiana’s third-leading scorer last season (16.1 ppg), trailing Pascal Siakam (20.2 ppg) and Tyrese Haliburton (18.6 ppg).

With Haliburton (Achilles) sidelined for the entire 2025-26 campaign and Myles Turner now in Milwaukee, Mathurin enters Year 4 with a prime opportunity to break out. Fresh off his first NBA Finals appearance, the 23-year-old shooting guard is expected to take on increased shot-creation duties in a consistent starting role, possibly at the expense of his efficiency (45.8 fg%).

To elevate his fantasy value, Mathurin will need to improve his playmaking and outside shooting. He averaged just 1.9 assists and 1.4 3-pointers per game in the 2024-25 season, shooting 34.0% from deep. Still, his offensive upside makes him a high-ceiling eighth to ninth-round target, particularly appealing in points leagues.
