To his credit, the 40-year-old icon has seldom shied away from speaking on complex topics, often remaining candid with his fans. Of course, this includes his personal life and family, which have always been a big part of James’ career.

Dating since the start of James’ NBA career in 2003, Savannah James has experienced every high and low with the Lakers star. The couple married in 2013 and has been together for almost two decades.
In a recent appearance on the “360 With Speedy” podcast with Complex’s Speedy Morman, James shared some unfiltered and candid thoughts on his relationship with Savannah. James revealed that they aren’t always ‘picture perfect,’ highlighting the fact that they’ve been dating since high school.
“I’m gonna be honest, a relationship is never picture perfect…If you’re okay with working through the hardships and the adverse moments, then it will make it all worth it,” LeBron said.

“We’ve been together since high school, so, shit ain’t always gonna be a bed of roses, in any relationship, let alone someone you’re living with for over 20 years,” James added.
That being said, James also gave some valuable advice to those who had been together for a long time. As per the four-time NBA champion, there are only a few rules one needs to follow.
“I think communication is number one. Being honest is number two. Number three is, just like, you have to be okay with being uncomfortable in relationships sometimes. You can’t always have it your way, it’s not gonna work that way.”
James and Savannah Recently Celebrated Their 12th Wedding Anniversary
Twelve years ago, on September 14, James married Savannah.
To celebrate the milestone, James took to Instagram as they spent some one-on-one time together.
“Happy anniversary my beautiful,” James wrote on IG, “I love you mama!”
He shared a photo of Savannah along with the caption, the 39-year-old smiling into the camera.
Additionally, the couple has three children together — two sons, Bronny and Bryce, and one daughter, Zhuri.
