‘Go Now, Bro, You Need It.’ NBA Fans Drop Hilarious Responses to Dirk Nowitzki

Nowitzki recently revealed a shocking private message he received on Instagram, prompting fans to take a dig at both the former NBA MVP and Mavericks’ owner, Nico Harrison, in response to the hilarious message.

“Wow. Got this randomly. Are my power alleys getting that bad??? Give me a couple more years and I will come see you, my guy…” The former Mavericks All-Star revealed that he received a private message from a Turkish hair transplant business offering him a deal.

During his time in the NBA, Notwizki was also iconic for his infamous locks. In addition to his numerous accolades, including 14 NBA All-Star appearances, an MVP season, a championship ring, and a Finals MVP, he made it a habit to change his haircut frequently.

After he revealed the message, NBA fans were quick to pile on with hilarious responses and digs. One fan jokingly suggested that Nowitzki should take the deal, telling him to “Go now, bro, you need it” in response to the tweet.

Despite fans piling on the pressure for the Mavericks’ advisor to take the deal, one fan ultimately pointed out the obvious, offering an actual explanation in response to the comedic tweet. The fan explained that it was just a scam for attention and internet “clout.”

“Respectfully, a lot of these are just scams; they are third-grade doctors and are just using people for their own gain, especially with athletes or famous people, they want the internet cloud so they can scam other people.”

Another fan, despite the original tweet being targeted towards Notwizki, also took the opportunity to dig in at Dallas Mavericks general manager Nico Harrison, suggesting that he would need a ‘brain implant’ after trading Luka Dončić to the Los Angeles Lakers last season.

Recently, following the trade that landed Dončić with the Lakers, NBA insider Tim McMahon revealed that Notwizki was both disconnected from the Mavericks due to the current state of the team and by GM Nico Harrison.

“Dirk is completely turned off by this franchise,” McMahon revealed during an appearance on the Hoop Collective earlier in the year, also managing to get to the bottom of why the Mavericks’ General Manager was not listening to his advisors and legends of the franchise.

“I asked [GM Nico Harrison], ‘Why not seek Dirk’s input? Why not seek Cuban’s input?’ He basically said if they’re not in the building, they don’t know what’s going on.” Harrison reportedly revealed to McMahon, shocking Mavericks fans.

Nowitzki, who played his entire 21-year NBA career with the Mavericks and led them to their only championship in 2011, is seen as the heart and soul of the organization; however, he looks set to be less involved next year with his new role as an NBA analyst.
