Alex Caruso might have helped deliver a championship to the Oklahoma City Thunder, but at home, he’s being hilariously roasted by someone who knows him best.
His fiancĂ©e, Haleigh Broucher, is celebrating her bachelorette weekend and turning her future husband into the weekend’s ultimate prop. The former Big Brother contestant and current PhD student documented the festivities with Instagram stories featuring everything from cardboard cutouts to a life-sized doll wearing Caruso’s face.

Haleigh Broucher Transforms NBA Champion Into Bachelorette Party Decor
Broucher began documenting the festivities with a series of Instagram stories that quickly escalated from playful to elaborate.
The first slide shows her on a plane, veil on, heart-shaped sunglasses in place, and a giant cutout of Caruso’s face in hand. “It’s Bach time baby,” she wrote, adding the cheeky hashtag #goldenglowforcaruso, a nod both to her fiancĂ©’s NBA title and the upcoming wedding.

The trolling intensified as the trip progressed. In her fifth story, Broucher showed a string of party decorations inside the plane, this time featuring custom cutouts of both her and Caruso’s faces.

By the ninth story, Broucher had fully committed to the theme. A life-sized doll sat on the bed in what appeared to be a bridal suite. The doll wore a basketball jersey and had Caruso’s face attached, turning the NBA champion into a life-sized party guest. Above the bed, balloon letters spelled out “BRIDE,” completing the scene.

She capped the Instagram story series with a close-up of personalized M&Ms printed with “Mrs. Caruso” and the couple’s faces, tying the whole theme back to their upcoming nuptials.
From Finals MVP Performance to Wedding Planning
Broucher and Caruso got engaged in August 2024 and are expected to marry in summer 2025. In addition to the stories, Broucher posted a photo to her Instagram feed, which she had already posted on the first slide of her Instagram story.
At 31, Caruso was a veteran presence in the Thunder’s rotation and made his mark on the defensive end. He contributed 7.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.6 steals per game in 54 games during the regular season. His experience and leadership also earned him a four-year, $81 million extension.

Caruso played a key role in the Thunder’s 2025 NBA Finals victory, becoming the first bench player since Manu Ginobili in 2003 to tally at least 10 steals in a Finals series. His standout showing came in Game 4, where he posted 20 points, hit 7 of 9 from the field, and contributed 5 steals, helping the Thunder even the series with a 111-104 win.
In that pivotal Game 4, Caruso made history by becoming the first player in NBA Finals history to record 20 points and five steals off the bench.
From the Thunder’s title run to personalized candy and life-sized cutouts, Broucher’s bachelorette celebration proved that behind every NBA champion stands someone ready to bring them back down to earth with cardboard cutouts and custom M&Ms.
