George Kittle might best be known for his blend of toughness and finesse on the football field. He just wrapped up his eighth season with the San Francisco 49ers and is one of the best tight ends in the league.
Highly physical, Kittle stands out for his versatility. He is a skilled receiver who excels at making contested catches and picking up yards after the catch. However, his run blocking allows him to have an impact on the offense even when he isn’t the target.
However, like many players, Kittle has another side to him. It’s a softer side and one that his wife Claire shared with the world.

George Kittle’s Wife Reveals the Tight End’s Soft Heart in Social Media Post
Kittle and his wife Claire were college sweethearts at the University of Iowa and married in 2019. According to some Instagram posts from the happy couple shared on Claire’s account, the two recently celebrated their six-year anniversary.
It appears they rented a tiny house for a romantic camping getaway. In the photos, George shares how much he loves Claire, and she responds in like fashion.
“My wife,” captioned George Kittle on a photo of Claire bundled up in a chair with a glass of red wine out at their campsite. “Happy anniversary, @clairekittle, six years married,” beside a heart emoji.
On another photo, this one of the two of them, Claire captioned, “Happy 6 year wedding anniversary my love @gkittle.”
George didn’t stop there. He posted a 13-word caption on a photo of the two on their wedding day, which said, “I love you lots. Thank you for loving my crazy. You rock @clairekittle.”
Claire is well known for supporting George and his career with the 49ers. She reportedly attends every game, regardless of whether they are home or away.
When George made the Pro Bowl for the sixth time in 2023, after one of the best seasons in his career, she marked the occasion with an Instagram post that read, “Pro Bowl baby,” and included a photo of George holding a tropical drink.
Kittle, a fifth-round pick, has far outplayed his draft spot. Now considered one of the premier tight ends in the NFL, he is a two-time First-Team All-Pro and a three-time Second-Team All-Pro since being drafted.
In eight seasons, he has 538 receptions for 7,380 yards and 45 touchdowns. Kittle is always near the top of the leaderboard, and 2024 was no exception. He ranked third overall for receiving yards, just slightly behind Brock Bowers and Trey McBride.
The two do not live in the Bay Area of California all year round. Instead, they have a home near Nashville, Tennessee, where they spend the offseason with their dog Deenie.
George and Claire have become quite the power couple. As the 49ers return to the lab during the 2025 offseason, trying to get back to the Super Bowl, there is no doubt that Claire will be there supporting George all the way.
