Niners Fail To Sign TE Brock Wright as Lions Match Offer Sheet

After the Falcons signed Woerner, the Niners needed to address their depth at tight end. Report: 49ers Sign Former Packers RB Patrick Taylor Jr.

While the Niners have the best running back in the NFL on their roster in Christian McCaffrey, they lack depth behind their superstar. Elijah Mitchell is clearly the second-best running back in San Francisco, but their roster is filled with questions after him. This is likely why the Niners signed Patrick Taylor Jr. to a one-year deal, as he’ll provide depth at running back and value on special teams.
