Following the departure of Arik Armstead, Chase Young, and Javon Kinlaw, it’s easy to view San Francisco’s defensive front as a major need heading into the 2024 NFL Draft. Yet, their offensive line still needs to be addressed following crucial mistakes in Super Bowl 58. This year’s draft class is loaded with offensive linemen, and the Niners would be wise to take advantage of the depth at arguably their biggest position of need.

Will Helms’ 2024 NFL Mock Draft: J.J. McCarthy to Washington Sparks 6 QBs in Top 12

Speaking of San Francisco’s need along the offensive line, Pro Football Network’s Will Helms released his latest mock draft. Helms has the Niners selecting one of the most versatile offensive linemen in this year’s draft class. Given the uncertainty surrounding basically every spot on its offensive line except left tackle, San Francisco would be lucky to land the prospect that Helms has them selecting with the 31st overall pick.

NFL Announces Performance-Based Pay Distributions for 2023

While the Niners have assembled a juggernaut around Purdy due to his low salary, the NFL recognized his play with their performance-based pay distributions. Purdy landed the 24th-highest performance-based bonus of $739,795. Yet, he didn’t earn the highest bonus in San Francisco. Niners cornerback Deommodore Lenoir earned $790,744, which was the 14th-highest amount that the NFL awarded for 2023.

Josh Dobbs Reveals Why He Signed With the 49ers, Praises Brock Purdy

After making plenty of headlines for his surprising play last season, Dobbs has found a new home in San Francisco. Dobbs showed flashes of brilliance in limited action last season and eventually came crashing back down to earth. After bouncing from team to team in 2023, Dobbs values the stability that he’ll have with the Niners next season.

Report: Niners Schedule 30 Visit With UCF WR Javon Baker

While the 49ers continue to sort through their contract negotiations with rising star wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, San Francisco could be eyeing his replacement. According to Steph Sanchez of the 49Karats Podcast, the Niners are scheduled to host UCF wide receiver Javon Baker on a 30 visit. Baker could be a target on Day 2 of the 2024 NFL Draft for the Niners.
