The showdown between rivals Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers on Monday Night Football lacked energy in the first half, with the game entering halftime scoreless, the first such MNF result since 2009.
Along with the defenses’ strong execution in this Week 10 matchup, the game was marred by frequent offensive errors, most notably from quarterback Jordan Love, who struggled throughout the opening half.

Jordan Love Had a Forgettable First Half on MNF
One of the QB’s most notable mistakes was highlighted by Shannon Sharpe, three-time Super Bowl champion and former ESPN analyst. “Jordon Love WTF are you doing?” Sharpe wrote on X.
On the last drive of the second quarter on a 2nd & 10 play, Love ended up fumbling in field goal range, and the ball was recovered by the Eagles, preventing the Packers from going into halftime with the lead.
This play capped Love’s poor first half: 6 of 10 passes, 20 passing yards, zero touchdowns, and 2 fumbles (1 lost). His minimal offensive production in the opening two quarters was a key factor in Green Bay’s slow start.

The Packers’ offense (who currently rank 5th in the PFSN Offense Impact with a B grade) faltered in the first half, with 15 of 28 plays failing, deviating from head coach Matt LaFleur’s plan. Another setback was Josh Jacobs’ inefficiency, averaging only four yards per carry before halftime.

It is also worth noting that the Eagles’ defense did a good job of containing the opposing offense, with cornerbacks Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean having some strong moments in their attempts to slow the Packers’ offensive momentum.
Cold Weather May Have Impacted Jordan Love and Jalen Hurts on MNF
There is no clear reason for Love’s underwhelming performance in one of the Packers’ key regular-season games. However, the biting cold at Lambeau Field may have contributed to the first scoreless MNF tie since Ravens-Browns in November 2009.
The Eagles also faltered in the first half, with their quarterback stumbling at pivotal moments. On a crucial red zone 3rd & 8, Jalen Hurts gained a first down up the middle but was stripped by Edgerrin Cooper as he went to the ground, marking Philadelphia’s first turnover since early October.
