2020 NFL Draft breakdown (Dolphins Podcast)

The Miami Dolphins have finally put all the rumors and speculation to rest with the selection of Tua Tagovailoa. Join Houtz and Kai'Chien as they breakdown the full 2020 NFL Draft for the team.

The Miami Dolphins have finally gotten through the 2020 NFL Draft, and they are thrilled with the selection of Tua Tagovailoa at the number five spot in the draft. Join host Joshua Houtz and Kai’Chien Chisholm as they breakdown each selection made by the Dolphins during the 2020 NFL Draft.

Tua Tagovailoa – Pick 5

By now, all Dolphins fans have been going crazy about the choice of Tua Tagovailoa by the team on Thursday night. Fans have called it multiple things, but Houtz and I believe the pick means hope. For the first time since Dan Marino, the fans have a quarterback that the team can rally behind and put their full support into. Tua fell to the Dolphins and provided the perfect chance for them to walk away with their guy. In the end, the team gets Tua, and the fans will buy his jersey whenever he decides on a number.

P.S Tua, the number two has a great ring to it.

The Dolphins ultimate smokescreen

With the selection of Tua comes the ultimate smokescreen by Chris Grier, Brian Flores, and Stephen Ross. No more will the Dolphins fall to the whim and be manipulated by the media. Hell, they had fans of all teams thinking they were drafting Los Angeles Chargers QB Justin Herbert or Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love.

Even with days before the draft, the team had all of us fooled and worried. The smokescreen that they planted, if everything turns out for the team, will go down in history as one of the greatest smokescreens of all time. It was a game of chess vs. checkers move by the team, and something fans haven’t seen in years. Even former Executive Vice President of Football Operations Mike Tannenbaum said that he wouldn’t draft Tua, and this caused multiple media outlets to link his words with his connection to Stephen Ross and the team, so many of us love.
